Police arrest two for separate robberies of a Mountain View gas station

Published: February 1, 2013

— Two men were arrested Thursday for robberies of the same Mountain View Shell station on different days, police spokeswoman Anita Shell said.

Police picked up Randy Lee Osborne, 56, as he was walking in Fairview Thursday night, Shell said. Osborne was arrested on a warrant for robbing the Shell station at 3635 Mountain View Drive on Jan. 13. He was on parole for two armed robberies that resulted in murder in 1976 in Fairbanks, so police also issued a warrant for a parole violation.

John Lambert Voisin, who police say knows Osborne, was charged with robbing the same Shell station on Jan. 18. He was arrested Thursday afternoon after a traffic stop on a vehicle in which he was a passenger.

A call received by the Crime Stoppers hotline helped police in the investigation of the robberies, Shell said.
