I have heard the argument before and I want to clear the air. Christopher Bernoski writes how he owns a home in Anchorage and by doing so he contributes directly to the Anchorage School District budget when he pays his property taxes.

He goes on to say that renters do not by virtue of the fact that they do not own the property where they live. I also own a home, but there was a time when I was a renter and let me tell you, dude, I am pretty sure my landlord used my rent money to pay his property taxes. I’m going out on a limb here, but I suspect most landlords do. So let’s put an end to this elitist attitude regarding who supports ASD and who does not. We all do.
