David Clarkson registered two goals and an assist, while Martin Brodeur stopped all but one of the 25 shots he faced, to help the New Jersey Devils earn a 3-1 victory over the New York Rangers in a rematch of the Eastern Conference finals on Tuesday at Prudential Center. Adam Henrique also lit the lamp and Patrik Elias added a trio of assists for the Devils, who have won two straight on the heels of a four-game skid. Chris Kreider scored the lone New York goal and Henrik Lundqvist was charged with all three goals on 22 shots in the setback, the Rangers' second in their last three games.

Uniondale, NY (Sports Network) - Brandon Sutter and Pascal Dupuis tallied in the third period as Pittsburgh held off a New York Islanders' rally to post a 4-2 victory at Nassau Coliseum. James Neal and Simon Despres also scored for the Penguins, who won their fourth in a row and fifth in their last six. Marc-Andre Fleury made 32 stops for the victory. Michael Grabner and Brad Boyes scored in a 35-second span for the Islanders, who have lost two straight and four of six. Evgeni Nabokov allowed three goals on 25 shots in defeat.

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - James van Riemsdyk netted two goals as the Toronto Maple Leafs edged the Washington Capitals, 3-2, at Verizon Center. Korbinian Holzer also scored, while Ben Scrivens stopped 24 shots for Toronto, which snapped a two-game slide. Marcus Johansson and Mike Ribeiro lit the lamp for the Capitals, who have lost two straight and four of their last five. Michal Neuvirth made 18 saves in defeat.

Final Score: Los Angeles 4, Columbus 2

Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - Mike Richards had a goal and an assist, while Justin Williams added three assists to help the Los Angeles Kings take a 4-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday. Anze Kopitar, Slava Voynov and Jeff Carter each added a goal for the Kings, who had dropped their previous two coming in. Jonathan Quick made 18 saves in the win. Derick Brassard and Derek MacKenzie scored for the Blue Jackets, who have dropped three of their last four. Steve Mason gave up all four goals on 31 shots in the loss.

Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - Chris Neil's second-period goal proved to be the difference, as the Ottawa Senators held off the Buffalo Sabres, 4-3, on Tuesday at Scotiabank Place. Erik Karlsson, Chris Phillips and Daniel Alfredsson each scored once, while Peter Regin added a pair of assists for the Senators, who snapped a two-game skid. Craig Anderson saved 20 shots in the triumph. Jordan Leopold registered a goal and an assist, while Tyler Ennis and Jason Pominville also lit the lamp for the Sabres, who have lost three straight and seven of their last eight since opening the season with back-to-back wins. Jhonas Enroth allowed four goals on 24 shots in the setback.

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Tom Sestito recorded his first career two- goal game and Ilya Bryzgalov made 21 saves, as Philadelphia nipped Tampa Bay, 2-1, on Tuesday. Jakub Voracek, Brayden Schenn, Max Talbot and Ruslan Fedotenko added an assist each for the Flyers, who posted back-to-back wins for the second time in the 2013 campaign. Benoit Pouliot registered the lone score for the Lightning, who have lost two in a row since winning five straight. Anders Lindback stopped 22 shots in the setback.

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Dennis Wideman had a goal and an assist as the Calgary Flames handled the Detroit Red Wings, 4-1, on Tuesday. Jarome Iginla, Curtis Glencross and Mark Giordano also scored for the Flames, who snapped a two-game skid. Jiri Hudler had one shot against his former team. Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 19-of-20 shots before leaving the game after two periods with a lower-body injury. Leland Irving made six saves in relief. Johan Franzen scored the lone goal for the Red Wings, who have lost two in a row. Jimmy Howard turned aside 19-of-23 shots.

Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - Bryan Little netted the deciding goal with 15.2 seconds left in overtime to lift the Winnipeg Jets over the Florida Panthers, 3-2, at MTS Centre. Blake Wheeler and Mark Stuart also scored for Winnipeg, which snapped a three-game slide. Ondrej Pavelec made 17 saves. Jonathan Huberdeau and Tomas Fleischmann supplied the offense, while Scott Clemmensen stopped 18 shots for the Panthers, who saw their two-game win streak come to an end.

Final Score: Nashville 6, St. Louis 1

St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Martin Erat had a goal and two assists and Colin Wilson added three helpers to help the Nashville Predators in a 6-1 rout of St. Louis. Ryan Ellis had a goal and an assist while Kevin Klein, Nick Spaling, Rich Clune and Gabriel Bourque all scored for the Predators, who have won their past three games. Pekka Rinne turned aside 31 shots in the win. Alex Pietrangelo scored the lone goal of the game for the Blues, who have dropped two straight for the first time this season. Brian Elliott was pulled near the midpoint of the second period after giving up four goals on 11 shots. Jake Allen stopped 6-of-8 shots in relief.

San Jose, CA (Sports Network) - Patrick Kane scored twice to help the Chicago Blackhawks take a 5-3 win over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday. Marcus Kruger had a goal and an assist while Brandon Saad and Andrew Shaw each scored for the Blackhawks, who have won two straight after dropping their previous two. Corey Crawford gave up all three goals on 33 shots for Chicago, which has garnered at least one point in all 10 games this season. Michal Handzus and Tommy Wingels each had a goal and an assist and Joe Pavelski had a goal for the Sharks, who have now dropped their past three games after opening the season with seven straight wins. Antti Niemi gave up four goals on 30 shots in the loss.
