The Thunderbird Battallion JROTC at East Anchorage High School performed a proper flag retirement ceremony on February 20th. They retired almost 100 United States flags. The flags were burned and disposed of in the proper American way. The superintendant of the Anchorage School District attended the ceremony, as well as retired General Banez and Colonel Cathy Jorgensen of the United States Army.
