Nonprofit Organizations Statewide Are Invited to Apply

To Be Included In 2014 Pick. Click. Give. Campaign

ANCHORAGE – February 5, 2013 – The application period for nonprofits to be part of the 2014 Pick.Click.Give. program is now open. Charitable organizations, educational institutions, and community foundations have until March 31, 2013 to complete an application to be included in next year’s PFD charitable giving program. Every organization, including those eligible for Pick.Click.Give. this year, must apply annually to be listed.

“Pick.Click.Give. is a growing opportunity for nonprofits to raise awareness and funds to support the causes they serve,” said Pick.Click.Give. Program Manager Heather Beaty. “If an organization has a goal of engaging with more Alaskans, we encourage them to consider applying to be part Pick.Click.Give.”

A record 471 nonprofit organizations in 48 communities across the state are eligible for Pick.Click.Give. in 2013. The eligibility criteria and $250 application fee were established by the Alaska Legislature.  Instructions on how an organization may apply are available on www.PickClickGive.org under the “Info for Nonprofits” section.

Alaskan who still haven’t applied for the 2013 PFD can do so online through March 31, 2013.
