SALT LAKE CITY — Carlos Boozer scored 19 points, including 11 straight late in the fourth quarter, and Nate Robinson added 18 points and nine assists as the Bulls held off the Jazz, 93-89, on Friday night.
The Bulls, coming off the worst loss in the Tom Thibodeau era in Denver on Thursday night, blew a 13-point lead and trailed in the fourth quarter before rallying. They handed the Jazz just their second home defeat in the last 13 games at Energy Solutions Arena.
After missing one game with the sore right ankle he rolled during Monday's loss at the Pacers, Marco Belinelli scored nine points in 29 minutes off the bench. Joakim Noah had a triple double of 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The game marked just the second time that Boozer returned to the city he played in for six seasons, polarizing a fan base despite two All-Star appearances and a Western Conference finals run in 2007. His former backup, Paul Millsap, guarded Boozer.
"He's got the same moves, but they're so effective it's kind of hard to stop him," Millsap said. "You just try to make it tough on him."
Boozer endured early foul trouble and a fourth-quarter technical to star at the end. Al Jefferson led all scorers with a season-high 32 points.
The Bulls finished their season-high, six-game trip at 3-3.
