'Jesus Christ Superstar' coming in March

Bill Roth/Anchorage Daily Steven Alvarez played Jesus and Veronica C. Page was Mary Magdalene in the Kokopelli Theatre Company production of "Jesus Christ Superstar" in Anchorage in 2005. Alvarez will have the part of Judas in TAU's upcoming production of the Rock Musical.

Theatre Artists United, aka TAU, has announced a production of "Jesus Christ Superstar" to take place in Sydney Laurence Theatre, March 8-17. The cast will include Leo Grinberg in the title role and Bridget Sullivan as Mary Magdalene. Shelly Wozniak will direct and Kristen Viertalher is in charge of the choreography.

Steven Alvarez will serve as the music director for the show and also sing the role of Judas. He was Jesus in Kokopelli's well-received production in 2005. 

Tickets, $25/$20, will be available at centertix.net.
