A Homer charter boat captain was sentenced to serve 10 years in prison Monday for giving methamphetamine and other drugs to underage girls, according to federal prosecutors.

Randall Scott Hines, 34, admitted he had sex with a series of teenage girls, four of whom were under the age of consent, between 2008 and 2011. He supplied the girls with drugs, prosecutors said.

Hines pleaded guilty to a drug charge and to one count of possession of child pornography. He agreed to pay $160,000 into a trust fund to help victims pay for drug treatment and counseling, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Hines will be required to register as a sex offender for 15 years following his release.
