6 UAA skaters earn WCHA Scholar-Athlete honors

Posted on February 13, 2013

Six UAA skaters have earned WCHA Scholar-Athlete status, which is no easy thing -- requires either a 3.5 grade-point average for the previous two semesters or an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher.

And Seawolves leaders led -- senior captain Chris Crowell racked his third Scholar-Athlete honor, and senior assistant captain Scott Warner and junior assistant captain Matt Bailey each secured their second such honor.

Also making the grade were junior winger/defenseman Quiinn Sproule, senior forward Daniel Naslund and sophomore winger Kory Roy.

Also, Whitney Wivoda of Fairbanks, a sophomore forward on Bemidji State's women's team, earned the honor.
