Letter: Sullivan’s plan will likely drive capable city employees away

Published: February 15, 2013

Mayor Sullivan has an interesting way to clean out the top levels of city employees. Whether this Measure 37 passes or not, a lot of senior employees will probably be leaving their jobs with the city. Reasonable people are not going to stay at a job where their time and experience does not seem to matter to the boss or bosses.

Are a few bad apples worth losing all the knowledge and experience they are going to lose? I don’t think so and I hope the people of Anchorage are getting tired of Dan Sullivan making choices that don’t represent all of us.
