A showdown of Alaska goaltenders in college hockey

Posted on February 15, 2013

Here's something you don't often see in college hockey -- a battle between goaltenders from Alaska.

That's how it rolled tonight, when Minnesota State-Mankato freshman goaltender Stephon Williams of Fairbanks bagged the win, 4-2, over visiting Michigan Tech and freshman goaltender Pheonix Copley of North Pole.

Williams racked 20 saves -- he was only beaten on the power play. Copley made 32 saves.
