Former UAA Glencross bags his 100th NHL goal

Published: February 15, 2013

Congrats to former UAA winger Curtis Glencross, who tonight bagged his 100th NHL goal skating for the Calgary Flames in a 5-2 loss to visiting St. Louis.

He was just an undersized kid -- read, whisper thin -- when he came to UAA and he turned a 21-goal sophomore season into a $750,000 signing bonus with the Anaheim Ducks. A two-time 20-goal guy in the NHL, he's making big bucks and making a nice career. In 370 NHL games, he owns 100-98--198 totals.

And how's this for coincidence. The night Glencross scored his 100th, who is in Sullivan Arena watching UAA and Nebraska-Omaha tonight? David McNab, the Ducks' senior vice president of hockey operations and the guy who signed Glencross to his first NHL deal.
