Dubinsky on IR, could miss week or two

Published: February 21, 2013

The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed forward Brandon Dubinsky of Anchorage on injured reserve after he suffered a sprained knee in a game last weekend.

The Columbus Dispatch reports Dubinsky apparently was injured in a game against Phoenix on Saturday and said Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards said the 26-year-old could be out a week or two.

Dubinsky owns 1-7--8 and -3 totals in 15 games this season.

During the NHL lockout, he played for his hometown Alaska Aces of the ECHL, racking 9-7--16 and +3 totals in 17 games. He missed time with that club after suffering a broken hand blocking a shot.

Dubinsky has played more than 400 NHL regular-season games.
