Pistons' Knight out with knee injury

Published: February 22, 2013

Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight will miss Friday's game at Indiana due to a hyperextended right knee.

Knight suffered the injury during the third quarter of Wednesday's 105-99 road victory over Charlotte after being rolled into by Bobcats guard Kemba Walker. The second-year pro did return to the game briefly in the fourth quarter before exiting with an unrelated ankle issue.

The 21-year-old, who is considered day-to-day, has started all 56 games for Detroit this season and ranks third on the team in scoring (13.6 ppg) while averaging 4.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds per contest.
