Comic Bill Cosby will perform at the Alaska State Fair in Palmer on Sunday, Aug. 25. Cosby is among five confirmed entertainers in the AT&T Concert Series announced by Fair officials on Friday. Best known for his comedy albums and televisions shows, “I Spy” and “The Cosby Show,” Cosby has previously performed in Anchorage, but this will be his first appearance at the Palmer fairgrounds.
Other confirmed performers include the rock band Foreigner on Aug. 22, country duo Love and Theft on Aug. 26, the Grammy-nominated Mississippi rock group 3 Doors Down on Aug. 30 and American Idol winner Phillip Phillips on Sept. 2.
Tickets to Cosby’s show are $80 for reserved seating, and $40 for general admission, in addition to fair admission and convenience fees to tickets that are not purchased at the Borealis Box Office on the fairgrounds during the Fair. Other rates and seating arrangements will apply to the other acts.
Advance tickets are now on sale at alaskastatefair.org and via the ETIX iPhone app. All shows will take place outdoors at the Kendall Toyota of Anchorage Borealis Theatre on the fairgrounds.
