Think UAA's had it rough? Check out Sacred Heart's ordeal

Posted on February 22, 2013

If any other team can fully appreciate the agonies UAA has endured this season -- the Seawolves are 4-19-7 overall, 2-18-6 in the WCHA -- surely it is Sacred Heart of Atlantic Hockey.

The Pioneers didn't even rack their first victory until Tuesday, when the beat Holy Cross to snap a 17-game losing streak. Sacred Heart promptly raced out to a 5-1 lead early in the third period tonight at Bentley, and then promptly surrendered five goals in a span of 9:39 -- no, that is NOT a typo -- to fall behind 6-5.

But the Pioneers did rally with a late goal and forged a 6-6 tie. Still, they are 1-26-3 overall and 1-19-3 in Atlantic Hockey. Ugh.

But that's glass half-empty stuff.

Glass half-full? The Pioneers own a two-game unbeaten streak.
