A poster spotted this weekend informed us that Out North will reprise Jack Dalton's "Assimilation." When this premiered at Cyrano's a couple of years ago, I thought it was one of the most powerful pieces of locally written theater ever produced here. The new production may be somewhat different; the role of the headmaster in the original production becomes a headmistress in the upcoming show. We're told that Dalton always saw the role as a female character.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday through March 10. Tickets are $20.
