Erstwhile Aces defenseman Wrenn gets first AHL goal

Published: February 26, 2013

Alaska Aces defenseman William Wrenn, on his second loan to the American Hockey League, picked up his first AHL goal tonight, scoring an extra-attacker strike for the Texas Stars in the last minute of a 3-2 loss at Oklahoma City.

Turns out it's Wrenn's first AHL point too. He was initially awarded an assist in a game last week, but must of been stripped of that apple upon review because it is no longer reflected on his stat line.

In any event, good for the rookie from Anchorage. He's now played seven AHL games this season, four for Texas and three for the Worcester Sharks.
