Emma Hill

— After a stint in Oregon, Emma Hill announced her return to her home state on the 2011 EP "Alaska Dear, I'm Coming Home." Now the singer/songwriter has a new full-length in the bag, her first since "Meet Me at the Moon," which also came out in 2011. The new one is called "The Black and Wretched Blue," and it'll be available at Hill's album release show on March 16 at Out North.

The album was recorded in Portland, Ore., at longtime collaborator Bryan Daste's studio. The record also features contributions from Anchorage trumpeter Corwyn Wilkey, plus cover art by Kodiak-based Laura Lauterbach.

Hill and Daste will also be taking the new album on the road, playing several shows around the state after the record release. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. Out North show on March 16 are $10, only available at the door. Check the tour dates below and stream the upcoming album's title track.
