Letter: Passage of cruise bill disappoints

Published: March 2, 2013

Upon reading in the ADN that the cruise ship wastewater bill has been passed (Story, Feb. 20), I was seriously disappointed and outraged but not surprised. How anyone who is intelligent and educated could listen to the same testimony I heard on “Gavel to Gavel” and still pass this bill boggles the mind.

Upon seeing the coverage of the disabled cruise ship outside Alabama, you would think it was a wake-up call to the disgust of cruise ship waste. Those voting this bill in certainly have different priorities than the rest of us. Too bad their legacy will include polluting the ocean. Once polluted, there is no getting it back.
