The Aces did a pretty cool thing after their win Sunday

Keep forgetting to post this short item, but the Alaska Aces did a very cool thing after their 3-0 win over the Bakersfield Condors on Sunday.

As they do after a series-wrapping home game late every regular season, the Aces players grabbed a quick bite after the match and immediately headed back upstairs to the concourse at Sullivan, took positions behind tables and signed autographs.

And signed, and signed, and signed -- hundreds upon hundred of autographs. The line started in the northeast corner of the concourse and wrapped so far it nearly halfway around the rink.

The Blog headed out of the rink two hours after the final horn, and there were still dozens of fans getting autographs.

The player behind the last table in line was goaltender Gerald Coleman, who seemed in good spirits.

"This is the one game a year you beat us out of the rink,'' Coleman said to The Blog.
