Published: March 7, 2013

Anchorage firefighters battled a fire in a mobile home off DeBarr Road in East Anchorage on Thursday morning. Three people inside got out safely and no one was hurt, a department spokesman said.

A double-wide trailer at 4110 DeBarr, just east of Bragaw Street, was fully engulfed and 13 units responded, said Anchorage Fire Department spokesman Al Tarmagni.

The fire was reported at 8:01 a.m. and was under control about an hour later, although firefighters were still on the scene.

Firefighters on the scene said the home appeared to be a total loss, Tarmagni said.
