Thomer's got a temper, and a two-game NHL suspension

Former Alaska Aces bench boss Brent Thompson, now an assistant coach with the NHL's New York Islanders, is, shall we say, um, passionate.

Or put another way, he can get pretty wound up.

Evidently, his passion has not waned, which is why the NHL hit him with a two-game suspension after he received a game misconduct for "inappropriate and abusive comments he directed at the on-ice officials'' following a game against the Rangers on Thursday night.
