Posted on March 8, 2013

Couple of random notes before we call it a night.

Former UAA goaltender Nathan Lawson, who has played sparingly for AHL Binghamton this season, but has been strong when he has, tonight racked his first shutout of the season and ninth of his AHL career with 34 saves in a 3-0 home win over Connecticut.

Lawson improved to 5-2-1 with a 2.14 goals-against average and .939 save percentage.

In the ECHL, South Carolina defenseman Luka Vidmar, the former Seawolf, notched his first two-goal game in a 3-2 win home win over Greenville.

Those two goals came in Vidmar's 118th pro game. He owns 6-18--24 and +12 totals in 57 games.
