Public funds, public schools; private funds, private schools. It’s a pretty straightforward concept. It’s also written into the state constitution. 

I am happy to contribute to the public good, and to see my taxes support public roads, public schools and the general welfare. I have no interest in supporting private roads, private (or parochial) schools or the welfare of the select.
