Stefan Gartrell clubbed a three-run home run in the first inning to help the Chicago White Sox earn an 11-7 decision over the Seattle Mariners on Sunday in spring training action.
Gordon Beckham and Brent Morel each added a solo shot, while Seth Loman finished 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored for the White Sox, who pounded out 17 hits as a team.
Chicago starter Dylan Axelrod allowed just one run on one hit over three frames to earn the victory.
Michael Morse mashed a solo home run for the Mariners, who saw starter Andrew Carraway surrender five runs on six hits over two innings.
