Pistons' Knight leaves with ankle injury

Published: March 11, 2013

Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight injured his ankle during Monday's contest against the Utah Jazz and will not return.

While driving to the basket, Knight rolled his ankle and drew a foul. The injury prevented him from shooting the free throws, and because of which, he is not allowed to re-enter the game.

The team is calling in a sprain of his left ankle and more information will be provided when it is known.

Coming into the contest, the second-year player out of Kentucky was averaging 14.0 points and 4.2 assists per game.
