HB69 is the biggest piece of political grandstanding I have ever seen in all my 42 years of voting. If it became law, it would be unconstitutional, and the legislators know it would be unconstitutional because their own legal folks have told them it would be unconstitutional. The idea that you can create a state law that makes it illegal for federal law enforcement officers to enforce federal law is absurd.
This pathetic piece of theater would be good for a laugh were it not for the fact that these are real legislators using real legislative session time to come up with something that is nothing more than adolescent posturing.
