Being on the prowl for tasty and affordable treats brought me to Emiliana's Natura Carmenere. In the Colchagua Valley in Chile, Emiliana is an organic and biodynamic group of vineyards. Carmenere does especially well in Colchagua, and for the money, this one is right on track. Its nose yields deep black fruits and a lovely core of herb that is classic carmenere. Medium weight and dense with fruit, this supple red drinks well beyond its price point. Costs about $12.
