Former UAF goaltender Chad Johnson is back in the NHL with Phoenix, though Jason LaBarbera is scheduled to get the start tonight for the Coyotes, who entertain the Winged Wheel.

Johnson was up earlier in the season, going 1-0-1 with a 0.98 goals-against average, .952 save percentage and his first NHL shutout. Lifetime in the NHL, he's 2-2-2, 2.13, .920. In AHL Portland this season, he's gone 16-13-1, 2.87, .909, two shutouts.

Speaking of former college guys in Alaska, former UAA winger Tommy Grant, who just had a stint in the ECHL for the first time, has been sent back to AHL Worcester by the San Jose Sharks.

And AHL Bridgeport has returned former UAA winger Sean Wiles to ECHL Las Vegas. Wiles had a goal and two helpers in three games with the Sound Tigers.
