3 UAA gymnasts earn all-conference honors from Mountain Pacific Sports Federation

3 Seawolves honored

UAA freshman M'rcy Matsunami earned three awards, junior Emily Peterson won two and sophomore Morgan Cook delivered one when the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation announced its women's gymnastics all-conference team this week.

The team is decided by top regional qualifying scores.

Matsunami generated the league's third-best all-around score (38.600) and third-best vault (9.790), as well as the fourth-best score in the floor exercise (9.610).

Petersen led the league in balance beam (9.785) and finish third on uneven bars (9.765).

Cook furnished the circuit's sixth-best score on balance beam (9.695).
