Um, William Wrenn seems to be doing just fine in the AHL

You in the Cowbell Crew may remember a time long, long ago when a young defenseman named William Wrenn played for the Alaska Aces.

Well, he's been up in the AHL with the Texas Stars for some time now -- more than a month -- and, well, things are going pretty well for young William.

Tonight, for instance, he had an assist and was +2 in a 7-6 overtime road win against Houston.

In 15 games for Texas -- Wrenn also played three games earlier for AHL Worcester -- Wrenn owns 2-5--7 and +5 totals. The Blog cannot recall Wrenn being a scratch since he went to the Stars.

Not to mention that he is trending well. He has an assist in three straight games and in the last eight games is 1-5--6 and +7.

Don't know whether Wrenn will be sticking with the Stars for the long haul, but there of a timing issue to be considered on the Aces' front. They have to submit their playoff roster Monday at 11 a.m. ADT, according to echl.com, and the AHL regular season doesn't end until April 21.

Just sayin'.
