Former UAA center Paul Crowder in ECHL 20-goal club again after shooting spree

Former UAA center Paul Crowder, whose Wheeling Nailers are nearing golf season -- they're not going to be in the ECHL's Kelly Cup playoffs -- tonight hit the 20-goal mark for the second straight season.

That's thanks to a shooting spree he went on in a 6-2 win over visiting Elmira.

Crowder racked two power-play strikes -- he owns 21-36--57 totals and a, ouch, -17 rating in 66 games -- as part of his career-high 12 shots on goal. That topped his previous best of 10 shots on goal in a game last season.

Crowder last season hit the 20-goal mark for the first time as a pro with 23-27--50 totals in 57 games for the Nailers.
