A 7-year-old boy missing for more than 24 hours in Kotzebue was found dead Sunday night at a seawall on the edge of the frozen Chukchi Sea, police said.

No foul play is suspected, according to a written statement by Kotzebue police.

Suyuk Brown was last seen playing in front of his Shore Avenue home during a snowmachine race at about 3 p.m. Saturday, police said. The boy's family reported him missing at 4:42 p.m. Sunday, launching a search by a Kotzebue rescue group, police and firefighters.

Searchers discovered Brown's body "wedged between the retaining seawall and sea ice" near Crowley commercial docks at 11:02 p.m., according to police.

The Medical Examiner's Office will investigate the cause of death. Police are asking anyone who saw the boy, who was wearing a blue-and-black jacket and black ski pants, to call the department at (907) 442-3351.
