Bean’s Café Receives over $119,000 in Pick.Click.Give. Donations in 2013

Anchorage - Bean’s Café, a local non-profit feeding and sheltering those in need since 1979, received over 2,000 contributions—a total of over $119,000—in Pick.Click.Give. donations this year. From a growth of just 104 donations in 2009 to over 2,000 donations this year, Bean’s Café has seen a tremendous growth in support through this State of Alaska program.

Ken Miller, Development Director says, “We are tremendously excited by the outpouring of support for our mission to feed and shelter those in need.  We want to thank everyone who contributed to the Pick.Click.Give. program and their nonprofit of choice.”

Bean’s Café relies on Pick.Click.Give. donations each year to fund its meal program.  Last year’s donations supplied food for 1/6 of Bean’s Café’s yearly need.  Demand for a hot meal and day shelter continues to grow year after year.  Bean’s Café is committed to helping as many individuals and families as possible with the continued support of the community and is excited beyond measure to exceed its goal of $100,000.
