Stockton, Las Vegas taking this home ice thing seriously

They played Game 5 in the best-of-7 Stockton-Las Vegas playoff series tonight -- and the home team won for the fifth straight time.

Las Vegas used 32 saves from Joe Fallon, two goals and a helper from Andrew Sarauer, and one goal from former Alaska Aces forward Judd Blackwater to beat visiting Stockton 3-0 and take a 3-2 series lead.

The win was the Wranglers' third in three nights, and the second time Fallon bageled the Thunder in that span.

Game 6 is Friday in Stockton.

All the other ECHL games were in the Eastern Conference.

Greenville beat visiting Reading 4-2 to cut Reading's series lead to 2-1.

Florida beat Elmira 2-1 in OT to take a 2-1 series lead.

Gwinnett won 3-1 at South Carolina to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

And Cincinnati won 5-2 at Toledo to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

For what it's worth, all four Eastern Conference series are led by the higher seed.
