— UAA assistant women's basketball coach RyAnne Ridge resigned last week, after one season with the team, leaving a vacancy in the Seawolves' coaching staff.

Ridge, from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, left to live closer to home, said UAA sports information director Nate Sagan.

Ridge helped first-year coach Ryan McCarthy and graduate assistant Shaina Afoa guide UAA to a 17-10 overall record last season. The Seawolves were 11-7 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, finishing tied for third in the standings.
