NAHL Update: Ice Dogs even series (Notes: Cole, Christianson)

After falling 1-0 in the opener of the NAHL's West Division Finals at Wenatchee on Friday, the Fairbanks Ice Dogs rebounded Saturday night for a 4-3 road win that evened the series at one game apiece in the best-of-5 series, which now moves to the Big Dipper in Fairbanks for Game 3 on Friday.

The Ice Dogs jumped to a 2-0 lead in the first period, and used 34 saves from Steve Perry, and two goals and a helper from Lawrence Corellier to deadlock the series.

Speaking the NAHL, the Amarillo Bulls, who include a couple of Anchorage forwards, own a 2-0 series lead over the Texas Tornado is the South Division Finals.

Ryan Cole of Anchorage owns 3-4--7 and +8 totals in six playoff games after going 24-26--50 and +34 in 57 regular-season matches.

And Gage Christianson has furnished 1-3--4 and +1 totals in six postseason games after going 18-33--51 and +31 in 50 regular-season games.

The Bulls, who play Game 3 at Texas on Tuesday and dispatched Corpus Christi in four games in the first round, went a league-leading 46-7-7 in the regular season and outscored opponents by more than a 2-to-1 ratio.
