3 Alaskans selected in WHL bantam draft

Three Alaskans were selected today in the Western Hockey League's bantam draft of players with 1998 birthdays.

That just means the teams that selected the players own their WHL rights, doesn't mean the kids will end up on said teams.

In any event, the Calgary Hitmen in the sixth round, with the 128th pick, took defenseman Dalton Gally of Eagle River.

The Moose Jaw Warriors in the seventh round, with the 139th pick, selected winger Jacob Garman of Anchorage.

And in the 10th round, the Saskatoon Blades took goaltender Wyatt Monear of Wasilla.
