Carr to head up Alaska Center for the Environment and Alaska Conservation Voters

Polly Carr will become the Executive Director of Alaska Center for the Environment (ACE) and Alaska Conservation Voters (ACV) in June 2013. Three nonprofits merged to form ACE in November 2012, and Ms. Carr will run the new organization and its sister organization ACV focused on leadership cultivation, community organizing and state policy advocacy, and robust civic engagement. Ms. Carr has worked in the Alaska conservation community for 15 years. She has worked at Alaska Conservation Foundation for the past four years, launching strategies to strengthen community capacity and support Alaska Native organizations.
