Letter: Couple’s story is uplifting

May 10, 2013

Thank you to Capt. Quin and Cmdr. Stewart for wanting everyone in Anchorage to take pride and ownership of the USS Anchorage (LPD 23). Having Lt. Gary Ross and his husband, Dan, the first military couple to marry after the repeal of DADT, contact Identity and the GLBT community made us feel included.

Hearing the story of their life before and after DADT was uplifting and gives us hope for the future with equality for everyone.
