Letter: Heritage Center visit enriching

May 11, 2013

My friend and I had the pleasure of accompanying Lake Otis Elementary students and teachers on a guided tour of the Alaska Native Heritage Center outdoor sites on Friday, May 10. The Lake Otis students were impressive! These students were respectful, actively listened, asked thoughtful questions and were well behaved. It was obvious their teachers have a positive influence on these young people.

Thanks to the Alaska Native Heritage Center for opening their doors to elementary students and to members of the Alaska Senior Activity Center. It was an enriching experience not to be missed.
