Letter: Anchorage needs oldies station

May 15, 2013

What happened to the KHAR radio station? Changing from great music to sports only? Don’t we have enough sports and talk shows? By now, they are coming out of our ears already, why add another one? This is a great disappointment! There has to be a balance in Radio-Land!

KHAR played the best music for as long as I can remember. My kids grew up with KHAR music playing, and that was about 35 years ago. And it has played ever since in my house! I love radio; love to listen to the oldies and voices like Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, Manilow, the Beatles, Elvis Presley and Tony Bennett. I loved to listen to classic radio, the Lutheran hour on Sunday mornings and much more.

What’s the matter with Anchorage, can’t we have a station like that?!

Let’s hear from other radio lovers! I know I’m not the only one that feels that way!
