So President Obama wants to fix Benghazi by increased funding for security. He and others blame the stingy Republicans. Something immediately leaps to mind though. Security in Benghazi had deteriorated so badly the British had left there that June 17. If — and I say if — we had limited funding for security, would not a known hot spot have the heaviest guard? Benghazi did not even have the Marine guards that serve at our NATO mission in Brussels. We relied on locals and some private contractors.
When Secretary Clinton refused to even transfer someone from Brussels to Benghazi it was not because of a lack of funding. To pretend otherwise is to profane the honor of this country.
