Stockton faces must-win situation in Game 3 Tuesday

After dropping the first two games of the Kelly Cup Finals on the road to the Reading Royals, the Stockton Thunder on Tuesday night at home face what we can safely call a must-win Game 3.

Reading won the opener 6-5 in overtime Saturday and followed that with a 4-0 win Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Tough schedule, huh? Back to back games in the Eastern time zone, a full travel day Monday, and a game three times zones away on Tuesday. Game 4 in Friday in Stockton.

Also in ECHL news, congrats to Andrew Miller of the Post and Courier in Charleston, S.C., for being voted Most Outstanding Media on the circuit in balloting by media, broadcasters and media relations directors. Andrew covers the South Carolina Stingrays -- and about 1,412 other things -- with passion and care. On top of that, he's a good dude.
