Letter: Bring back KHAR’s old-time music

May 23, 2013

I can’t stay silent anymore. I have to let you know my feelings.

We came to Alaska via the military 43 years ago and KHAR was our station; even our little toddler loved the music.

On Sunday mornings at 7 a.m The Lutheran Hour prepared me for my own worship service at my Congregational Church.

All day long KHAR has something for everyone, even the old-time radio shows.

News and weather updates, traffic situation and so much more. All my radios were tuned to KHAR from the car to the bathroom.

When the station went off the air, I thought my little transistor  was broken ( and yes, I still have one of those little radios).

The withdrawal from my favorite radio station is not good!

Please bring it home to us again. I want to sing along with the old songs.
