Anchorage Police are investigating a shooting outside a midtown bar early Sunday that left one person in critical condition.

Just after 2 a.m. Sunday, police received reports of gunfire at the Office Cocktail Lounge, located at 545 E. Northern Lights Boulevard in Anchorage, according to APD spokeswoman Dani Myren.

Witnesses told officers that the trouble started when a "disturbance" inside the club led to a few people being kicked out.

"Club security continued to address the arguing parties both inside and outside the bar when they heard multiple shots fired outside," Myren said in a statement.

Police found a man nearby on Fairbanks Street with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to the hospital where he remains in critical condition, Myren said. The name of the injured man has not been released.

Police are investigating the incident. No arrests have been made.

Detectives have asked that people with information related to the incident call APD at 786-8900.
