A six-year-old Palmer boy was injured Saturday when he rode his dirt bike into a street and was hit by a truck, the Alaska State troopers said in an online dispatch Sunday.

At 7 p.m. on Saturday, troopers received a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a truck at North Nelchina Drive in Palmer, troopers reported

According to investigators, the boy was riding a Honda 50cc dirt bike designed for children down his driveway when he went into a road and was hit by a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Dale Jaskuloski, 52, of Wasilla.

The boy was wearing a helmet, troopers said.

Jaskuloski wasn't injured.

The child was flown to Providence Hospital in a helicopter. An AST spokeswoman said his condition wasn't known as of Sunday.
