Muldoon Library has new executive director

New Muldoon Library Director Grew Up in Area
 
Erik Carlson is the new director of the Muldoon Neighborhood Library. Carlson, who grew up in East Anchorage in the Chester Valley and College Gate communities, is delighted to be serving the area he knows so well. Among the first projects Carlson and his staff at Muldoon are tackling is building a core of adult mentors to help during various activities for teens at the Muldoon library.
 
After graduating from East High School in 1998, he received advanced degrees from the University of Southern California, Yale and Drexel. Carlson has worked in a variety of positions for Anchorage Public Library since 2009. Carlson’s interests include: Orienteering, triathlon, voracious reading, video games and learning to cook.
