Letter: Put our old time zones back

June 15, 2013

On Oct. 30, 1983, a big blunder was committed by the authorities in Juneau by putting the entire state on Juneau time. Since then, we the people who live and work in Southcentral Alaska have undergone late sunrises in wintertime and late sunsets in summer, and that is even worse. It is time to correct this political time and return Alaska to the correct time with four time zones but keeping daylight saving.
